"The Chanukah Wonderland will pro- vide families with the opportunity of cel- ebrating their Judaism in a very hands-on and engaging manner," said Rabbi Shneur 14 December 6 • 2012 Silberberg of the Bais Chabad, who will oversee the event with his wife, Zeesy. "The array of events has been carefully planned to pique the interest of every age group. From toddlers to teens, from adults to seniors, there will be something for everyone:' The centerpiece of the Wonderland is the unique learning tool known as the Olive Press Project, an interactive, hands- on exhibit. Participants actually see how olive oil was extracted from raw olives during the Temple period. Visitors can also eat sufganiyot, decorate a wooden dreidel, make a Chanukah sun catcher or participate in a Chanukah game show. Toddlers can visit Chanukah Legomania and design their own Lego menorahs while parents shmooze over coffee and donuts. Other highlights include a musical celebration at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, sponsored by Say-On Drugs. The festivi- ties will include a performance by Kids Klez of Michigan; Chanukah Lights the Musical, performed by children of the — Bais Chabad Drama Club; a giant meno- rah lighting; and latkes, soups and other refreshments. All events are free. The Chanukah Wonderland event runs Dec. 9-12. Hours are noon-6 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-noon and 3-6 p.m. Monday- Wednesday. Free admission.
