This year, Chanukah is going to be easier than
ever. An easy oven-fried chicken-strip recipe is
sure to please the kids (and the adults). Serve it with a
dipping sauce and fresh vegetables. Or, add a salad with a
light vinaigrette dressing.
Of course, potato lathes are de rigueur so make your
favorite recipe, or try my simple food-processor recipe
that makes smooth, almost lacey-textured lakes. Or, if you
want the traditional lathes, use my tried-and-true recipe.
Top lathes with my super-simple and, I must say, perfect
microwave applesauce that's not too sweet or cloying.
For dessert, gelt!

CHICKEN STRIPS

1 cup flour
1 tsp. granulated garlic
1 tsp. paprika
'A tsp. ground cayenne pepper
2 large eggs
2 cups panko breadcrumbs
