Dovid And Yehudit Visit
Florida: See Bubble Run

F

or those of you who remem-
ber the creation called the
"book," you may have fond
memories of learning how to read.
You will have had some experience
with the Primer and such characters
as Dick, Jane and Spot, the dog.
Come with me now to those "thrill-
ing days of yesteryear" as
we "Travel With Dovid and
Yehudit."
Dovid and Yehudit live in
Michigan.They are brother
and sister. Do you have a
brother or a sister?
They are going to visit
their grandparents in
Florida because they do not
like summer camp. Do you
like summer camp?
See Dovid pack his suit-
case; pack, Dovid, pack. He
is packing only his elec-
tronic games and a bathing suit.
See Yehudit pack; pack, Yehudit,
pack. She will have a new outfit for
every part of the day. She will need
more than one suitcase. Stop, Yehudit,
stop!
See Dovid and Yehudit at the airport.
They were delayed at the security desk.
Run, Dovid, run. Run, Yehudit, run!
Have you ever been late for something?
It is not fun to get all sweaty and out of
breath.

The plane ride is over at last! Where
are the grandparents? There they are:
Grandma has on a large sunhat with
flowers and Grandpa has on shorts
with black socks. They are easy to find.
Do you like to dress up as adults and
wear funny things?
The grandparents live in a tall build-
ing called a condo complex.
It does not allow children
except for grandchildren
for one week at a time and
with special permission. The
grandparents' neighbors are
not exactly thrilled with the
noise that children bring.
Could you speak in a whisper
for two weeks? Wouldn't that
be fun! Whisper, children,
whisper.
There is a swimming
pool! Do you like to swim?
Swimming can be fun when
it is hot outside. Swim, Yehudit, swim.
Look at Dovid. He is going to jump
into the pool and make a splash. Jump,
Dovid, jump! Oh, no, someone's grand-
ma was in the way of the splash and she
is all wet. But she feels cooler now. Do
you like being hot? It is not fun!
See Yehudit make friends with the
lifeguard. Lifeguards are very impor-
tant. They help save people. This young
man is saving Yehudit from a dull after-
noon. Do you like being bored? Being

bored is not fun.
Dovid is running around on the pool
deck. Run, Dovid, run. What fun he is
having. Would you like to have fun like
that? Running can be fun.
The grandparents are tired. How
tired are they? They are very, very
tired. It is time for the children to go
back home. Goodbye, Dovid; goodbye,
Yehudit. What fun they had in Florida.
Do you like to travel? You should tell
your parents that travel is fun. They
should take you on a trip very soon.
Tell them now. Nag, children, nag.
