A. To signify that America stands with Israel and to restore that vital relationship, Governor Romney's first foreign trip as President will be to Israel.
1. President Obama has not visited Israel at all during his term. He has badly misunderstood the dynamics of the Middle East, and pursued policies that have
created distance between the United States and Israel in order to earn us credits in the Arab world.
President Obama has on numerous occasions disrespected Prime Minister Netanyahu—even deriding him in what he thought was a private
conversation with the French President – and his administration has repeatedly declined to acknowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Worse, the Democrat platform that was crafted to reflect President Obama's policies initially removed not only any mention of God, but also previous
statements acknowledging Jerusalem as the capital. When party officials tried to correct the document in the wake of public outcry, the convention hall
booed the change, which did not even restore language in the previous platform that had condemned Hamas.

Governor Romney believes that Israel is America's closest ally in the Middle East and a beacon of democracy and freedom in the region. He will ensure
Israel's security by working closely with its leadership to maintain the country's military edge.
Governor Romney will stand up to Iran by supporting Iran's dissidents, bolstering our missile defense program, implementing crippling sanctions, and
maintaining a credible military option that will focus the minds of the ayatollahs. And Governor Romney will never apologize for the United States and will
defend our values abroad.

1. He will achieve North American energy independence by 2020, creating millions of jobs while weaning us off Middle Eastern oil.
2. He will ensure that young Americans have the skills to succeed by giving every family access to a great school and quality teachers.
3. He will pursue trade that works for America by opening new markets while curtailing unfair trade practices.
4. He will cut the deficit and restore fiscal responsibility.
5. He will be a champion for small business, reducing taxes and regulations.
6. He will increase defense spending; the strongest offense is a good defense.

generations he will implement a system similar to that used by members of Congress.
2. Future beneficiaries will have a set of Medicare-approved, guaranteed-coverage plans to choose from, including today's traditional Medicare option. The
government will then provide premium support, made more generous for the poor and the sick than for the wealthy, that ensures each beneficiary can afford
high-quality coverage.
