FJA Twins Take
Lead In Oliver!
The audience will see double in the Frankel Jewish Academy's production of
Oliver! playing Dec. 1-2 at the Berman Theater in West Bloomfield. That's
because the lead role of Oliver is being played by identical twins Ben and Eli
Sider of Huntington Woods. The FJA freshmen serve as each other's under-
study. Ben will play Oliver in Act I, and Eli will take over for Act II. ,
The antagonist's role of Fagin is played by Yoni Weiss, one of several
freshmen taking a prominent place in FJAs Performing Arts Department. In
all, more than 20 FJA students are involved in the production of the classic
Charles Dickens tale. Two dozen more children in grades 1-8 from the com-
munity will play orphans and pickpockets.
Tickets are $15; $10 for Jewish Community Center members, FJA stu-
dents and staff, and can be purchased at the Berman box office or by visiting
bermancenter.jccdet.org/ticketing . Performances are at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec.
1, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.
