held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31,
at the studio, 6405 Telegraph Road,

Hadassah To Open
Heart Health
Center In Israel

(JTA) — Irene Pollin, founder and
chairman of the heart health orga-
nization Sister to Sister, is donating
$10 million in a partnership with
Hadassah for a cardiovascular well-
ness center at Hadassah Hospital in
Jerusalem.
The center will be named in
memory of Pollin's daughter, Linda
Joy, who was born with a congenital
heart defect and died at age 16.
"Mrs. Pollin's gift adds to our
ability to deepen and extend what
we can provide for our patients:'
Marcie Natan, national president
of Hadassah, the Women's Zionist
Organization of America, said in a
statement.
Pollin is the widow of sports
executive Abe Pollin.
The gift was announced last
week as part of Hadassah's week-
long celebration of its centennial in
Jerusalem. Support and expansion
of Hadassah's two hospital cam-
puses in Jerusalem are at the core of
the group's mission.
Hadassah and Sister to Sister also
will embark on a campaign to raise
heart health, awareness in Israel and
the United States.
