PANCREATIC CANCER

Yasher koach to Andrew Serlin and
Solomon Kahn for their social action
mitzvah project dedicated to Kadima.

Noon-3 pm. Annual luncheon of the Sky
Foundation, which funds research for early
detection of pancreatic cancer, at Townsend
Hotel in Birmingham. Also auction with
emcee Rod Meloni, business editor at WDIV-
TV News (NBC Detroit). Tickets start at

NCJW MOVIE NIGHT

Andrew and Solomon sold candy bars at Mild Day School to
raise money for Kadima. When fellow students purchased
the candy bars, Andrew and Solomon explained Kadima's
mission and how Kadima helps children diagnosed with
serious emotional and behavioral disorders and adults
diagnosed with chronic mental illness.

This project helps break the stigma
of mental illness.

Kadima in Hebrew means "moving forward".

With the help of youth like Andrew and Solomon and the ongoing
support of our generous community, Kadima will continue to move
forward with quality programs and services for children and adults.

Please call Kadima to arrange for a social action mitzvah project for
your child or for other volunteer opportunities.

Kadima offers programs and services to adults
who are diagnosed with major depression/anxiety,
bipolar disease, psycho-affective disorder and
schizophrenia and programs and services for children,
3 — 18 years, diagnosed with serious emotional
and behavioral disorders

6:30 pm. National Council of Jewish
Women/Greater Detroit Section sponsors
fundraiser at new Maple Theater, 4135 W.
Maple at Telegraph, Bloomfield Twp. $36
includes appetizers, The Sessions movie,
popcorn and drink. Portion of proceeds
goes to Backpack Project, helping kids in
