Bloomfield Friday,
Oct. 19. He is the

son of Davita and
Stephen Balbes. Sharing in the sim-
chah will be his proud grandparents
Sonja and Montague Balbes and
Shaaron Staskievitz. He is also the
grandson of the late David
Staskievitz.
David attends Walnut Creek
Middle School in Walled Lake. He
donated funds to Israel Guide Dogs
and felt this was a meaningful expe-
rience.

the occasion of her
bat mitzvah

West Bloomfield.
Lavine
She is the daughter
of Faith and Jerry
Lavine and the sister of Darin. Her
grandparents are Barbara and Mendy
Goldberg of Yorktown Heights, N.Y.,
and Martha and Bob Lavine of
DeWitt, N.Y.
Elaina attends O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
Her most meaningful mitzvah proj-
ect is volunteering at the Halsted
Place, a senior home where she helps
the residents play bingo.

Natalie is a student at Orchard
Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. Among her various
mitzvah projects, she felt volunteer-
ing at Friendship Circle in West
Bloomfield was the most meaning-
ful.

Rileigh Madison
Nielson will cele-
brate her bat mitz-
vah at the
Birmingham
Temple in
Farmington Hills on
Friday, Oct. 19. She
is the daughter of
Julie Nielson and
Jeff Nielson and sister of Evan.
Rileigh is the granddaughter of Ellie
Waldman, and Gary and Harriett
Nielson.
Rileigh is in eighth grade at Novi
Middle School. For her mitzvah proj-
ect, she worked with Little Kickers in
Novi, teaching kids 18 months to 7
years old how to play soccer.
