Broad Art Museum brings a world of contemporary art to MSU and Michigan
Visitors to the Michigan State University campus will
notice a dramatic addition to both its physical and
cultural landscapes this fall with the opening of the
world-class Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum.
The new contemporary art museum, which will be
dedicated during a public outdoor ceremony
November 10, is committed to exploring global
contemporary culture and ideas through art. Also that
day, Eli Broad and museum designer Zaha Hadid are
scheduled to participate in a public conversation
moderated by the museum's director, Michael Rush. A
public open house November 11 will provide visitors
with opportunities to tour the museum, which will
serve as both a teaching institution and cultural hub.
