Go Pink!
Breast Cancer Month
brings fundraiser.
E
quilibrium Studio in Southfield
will hold Plie for Pink!, a spe-
cial Xtend Barre class at 10
a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, to raise funds
for Shades of Pink, a Birmingham-based
foundation that provides temporary
financial support to women undergoing
treatment for breast cancer.
The studio has trained Pilates teachers
and clients since 1997, and is a longtime
supporter of the Susan G. Komen for the
Cure and the Breast Cancer Research
Foundation.
"Shades of Pink serves women in
Metro Detroit, and 100 percent of dol-
lars donated go to women who need
financial support during breast cancer
treatment," said Nancy Hodari, owner.
"This amazing organization is run
entirely by volunteers and makes our
fundraising more personal."
In lieu of paying a class fee,
Equilibrium is collecting a minimum of
$20 per person for Shades of Pink. Wear a
Pink Halloween costume and Equilibrium
will match your $20 donation. Wear a
pink tutu and Equilibrium will match
your $20 donation and add $15.
Equilibrium Studio is at 6405
Telegraph, Building G & H, Southfield,
and in the Franklin Athletic Club, 29350
Northwestern Highway, Southfield. For
