Gala Celebration

Chamber Soloists group enjoys a
grand evening for its inaugural concert.

A

gala strolling dinner reception
was held Oct. 7 at the Bloomfield
Hills home of Bernard and
Barbara Stollman following the inaugural
concert of the newly formed Chamber
Soloists of Detroit (formerly the Pro
Mozart Society of Greater Detroit). The
concert was generously sponsored by Dr.
Stanley H. Levy to honor the memory of
his late wife, Rita S. Levy, a lifelong and
beloved patron of the arts.
The concert featured acclaimed pianist
Pauline Martin of West Bloomfield and
violinist Yoonshin Song, the newly appoint-
ed concertmaster of the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra, performing works by Janacek,
Saint-Saens, Carter and Brahms to a full
house and an enthusiastic audience.
President Gerald Stollman and Leila
Stollman of West Bloomfield, Bernard
and Barbara Stollman, Teryl Asher of
Bloomfield Hills, Leonard Borman of
Birmingham, Sylvelin Bouwman of
Eastpointe and Ida D. Mucciante of

Farmington Hills participated in the phe-
nomenal success of the inaugural concert
and reception.
Pro Mozart Society of Greater Detroit
was founded by Marguerite Kozenn Chajes
in 1959.
