daughter of Lori
(Wolok) Charlton and
Robert Charlton. Proud grandparents
are Sanford and Harriet Wolok, and
William Charlton.
Sydnee attends John D. Pierce
Middle School in Redford. Her ongo-
ing mitzvah project is raising money
for Kfar Yeladim David in Jerusalem,
a home-away-from-home for Israel's
disadvantaged children/orphans, and
victims of abuse and neglect.

Max Benjamin
Feber will celebrate
his bar mitzvah
at Congregation
B'nai Israel in
West Bloomfield on
Saturday, Oct. 13. He
is the son of Susan
and David Feber,
older brother of
Harrison and Julia.
Proud grandparents are Lorraine and
Daniel Feber and Frieda (the late
Joseph) Langnas.
Max attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. Picking tomatoes in Israel for
Project Leket, the Israeli national food
bank, was Max's most meaningful
mitzvah project.

ebrated her bat mitz-
vah Saturday, Sept.
29, at Temple Israel
Halpern
in West Bloomfield.
Her proud grand-
parents are Marilyn
Schneid, Sandra Halpern and Judith
Schneid. Amanda is also the grand-
child of the late David Halpern and the
late Arthur Schneid.
Attending Geisler Middle School
in Commerce Township, Amanda did
volunteer work with children who
have special needs at Friendship Circle
in West Bloomfield and felt that it was
a very meaningful mitzvah project.

will be called to the bimah at

She is the daughter
of Keith Hurwitz and
Patty Rehfus, sister
of Joshua Hurwitz
and granddaughter
of Ruth Hurwitz.
Sophie is also the
granddaughter of the
late Victor Hurwitz
and the late Bob and

Cathy Rehfus.
Sophie is a student at East Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. For
her mitzvah project, she made and
sold artwork to raise money to sup-
port a Ghanaian student through the
School Fund.

Jacqueline Anne
Kraft, daughter of
Janice Kraft and
Matthew Kraft, will
celebrate her bat
mitzvah on Friday,
Oct. 12, as she leads
the congregation at
Kraft
Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield in
prayer. She is the
sister of Hannah and the grandchild of
Joanne and David Kraft, and the late
Jacqueline and the late Jerry Gould.
She is also the grandchild by love of
Mary Jane and Rick Larson.
Jacqueline attends Holmes Middle
School in Livonia. Her most meaning-
ful mitzvah project was her involve-
ment with children at Friendship
Circle in West Bloomfield.

For those who don't know, October is National Orthodontic Health
Month. This is a month long event organized by the American
-Association of Orthodontists, or MO. During October, members of the
erican Association of Orthodontists (AAO) conduct a wide range o
ctivities to educate orthodontists and their patients about protecting
eir teeth during Halloween, as well as share information about the
enefits of orthodontic treatment

that'this is a great opportunity to raise awareness about the
importance of oral hygiene. National Orthodontic Health Month also

to the Torah as a bar
mitzvah on Shabbat
morning, Oct. 13,
at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield. He is the
Krakoff
son of Susan and
Rabbi Joseph Krakoff
and brother of Atara
and Elan. Sharing in the simchah will
be his very proud grandparents Bonnie
and Marvin Zeff, Sharon Krakoff and
Dr. Robert Knopf, and Marie and

Micah attends Hillel Day School of
