Recalled From Stores
Smoked salmon produced by the Dutch
company Foppen has been recalled from
Costco shelves, where it was sold under the
Kirkland brand. Salmonella food poisoning
has been traced to Foppen's Greek fish pro-
cessing factories, reports the Forward.
The Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention in Atlanta reports that more
than 100 people in the U.S. have been
sickened from eating the lox.

JCC To Host 'Live From
New York's 92nd Y' Series
The Jewish Community Center of
Metropolitan Detroit's SAJE (Seminars
for Adult Jewish Enrichment) will host
a "Live from New York's 92nd Street Y"
fall 2012 series, featuring live, interactive
broadcasts with some of today's foremost
scholars, thinkers and authors.
All programs will be held at the Jewish
Community Center, 6600 W Maple Road
in West Bloomfield, and cost $6 each or
