adassah Greater Detroit Chapter held its annual opening meeting on Sept. 11
at Congregation Shaarey Zedek in Southfield. The crowd of more than 800
— the largest ever for this event — were treated to a poignant, humorous,
heart-felt talk by award-winning journalist Campbell Brown.
Married to Dan Senor, author, news commentator and Republican political adviser,
Brown spoke about her personal life, her conversion to Judaism, her welcoming
circle of Jewish friends and about the concept of tikkun olam, which she credited the
Hadassah crowd for knowing and doing so well.
A raffle and diverse boutiques completed the event. 11
