Metro Health Foundation Funds Pilot Dental Project The Tri-County Dental Health Program (TCDH) recently received a $10,000 grant from the Metro Health Foundation. The funds will support a new pilot project in cooperation with the Macomb Dental Society to improve access to dental care among uninsured, low-income residents of Macomb County. TCDH determines individuals' eligibility for emergency dental services and refers them to a partici- pating dentist. Those who qualify for services must be low-income, uninsured and suffering from dental pain. Metro Health Foundation is a private Detroit grant-making foun- dation supporting Michigan orga- nizations in health care and health- related fields. Tri-County Dental Health is a program of JVS, a Southfield-based human service organization that helps people realize life's potential. Every year, the program provides dental referrals to thousands of Metropolitan Detroit residents in need of dental care. For information, visit www.dentalhealthcouncil.org or call (248) 559-7767.
