Faith and Food
Harvest Fest

iverfront East Congregational Initiative holds its Faith and
Food Harvest Fest from 2-5 p.m. at the Gleaners Community
Food Bank, 2131 Beaufait in Detroit. Join RECI congregations,
including the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue, for a
healthy food cooking contest, guided tours of Earthworks Urban Farm and
education from premier Detroit urban agriculture activists. Food will be
vegetarian, though not produced in kosher kitchens.

Kick for Detroit

ick for Detroit is a charity kickball tournament that reconnects
young adults with the city of Detroit and gives back to
our hometown. It takes place at Waveland Park, 2012
Waveland Park in Chicago and features a BBQ lunch, musical
entertainment and fun games for the whole family. Registration begins at
10 a.m., with games beginning at 11 a.m. Visit kickfordetroit.com to sign
