Happy 10th! from page 24
grassroots, focused on community. That's
what the Expo is all about — working
together to find the best ideas for all the
wonderful moments of our lives."
In the past decade, Joe Cornell has
expanded its business as the Expo has
grown. Now, its weddings division
thrives, providing DJs for backyard to
black-tie nuptials. Its preteen dance
instruction and etiquette program
sells out every season, with nearly 300
sixth-graders registered.
"The way we do business is unique,"
says Schlussel. "There are many
similar companies out there, but we've
always believed that we each fill our
own unique niche, so we're not com-
peting for the same client. Our enter-
tainers are energetic, polished, and
guaranteed to get guests out of their
seats and onto the dance floor while
keeping the focus on the celebrant"
"What we do is never about us," says
Jasgur. "It's always about the families
we work with. We focus on building
relationships with families so we can
walk through their lives and celebrate
their most important occasions. We
have become friends with so many of
our clients — that's the community-
focused way we do business:'
