Giving Back

Teen Mission and Summer in the City

partner to benefit kids in Detroit.

S

ue and Alan J. Kaufman Family Detroit Federation's 2012
Teen Mission (TM12) recently returned from Israel and
participants already are giving back to the community.
TM12 members partnered with Repair The World Aug. 14-17
for an unforgettable service experience through Summer in the
City. Each day, the teens were part of a new mission, volunteer-
ing with Detroit city kids. The idea of working together to make
a difference brought more than 50 TM12 participants and staff
to Detroit, an example of one of several mission reunion events.
On Aug. 26, a Teen Mission team will play at Pitch for Detroit. In
September, there will be a trip video premiere event for parents
and teens. In December, a reunion will take place with TM12
Israeli participants when they travel to Metro Detroit. ❑
