her bat mitzvah. She
is the daughter of
Leslie and Mark Baron and the sister
of Jacob and Nate. Sharing in the sim-
chah will be her thrilled grandparents
Leba and Dr. Sanford Rautbort, and
Joan and Sheldon Shore.
Emily attends O.E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. As part of
her mitzvah experience, every week
for an entire school year, she helped
at West Bloomfield-based Friendship
Circle's Life Town.

Alana Michelle
Blumenstein,
daughter of
Carol and Ricky
Blumenstein of
Bloomfield Hills,
will be called to
the Torah as a
Blumenstein
bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Sept.
8, at Congregation Shir Tikvah in
Troy. She is the wonderful sister of
Benjamin, Jacob, Julia and Reuben.
Sharing in her simchah will be her
grandparents Penny and Harold
Blumenstein of Bloomfield Hills, and
Dr. Seymour Stein of Singer Island,
Fla. She is also the granddaughter of
the late Lucille Stein.
Alana is entering seventh grade
at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. Her mitz-
vah project is at the West Bloomfield-
based Friendship Circle, where she was
a camp counselor.

vah projects, he enjoyed working at
Gleaners Food Bank, packaging and
distributing food.

Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield
Saturday, Sept. 8. He is the brother
of Livia (Moray) and Lily (Pazner).
His proud grandparents are Nadele
Spiro, Elaine and Henry Spiro,
Muriel and Bernard Moray, and
Betty and Burton Pazner. He is
also the grandchild of the late Sybil
Silver and the late Eddie Silver, and
the great-grandchild of the late
Sophie Eisenberg and the late Louis
Eisenberg.
Jared attends Detroit Country Day
School in Beverly Hills. He felt it
was meaningful to visit the Sunrise
Senior Living Center as part of his
mitzvah experience.
