JEAN SEGAL, 95, of Rockville, Md., for-
merly of Detroit, died Aug. 22, 2012.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Rabbi Jacob Segal, founding rabbi at Adat
Shalom Synagogue.
Mrs. Segal is survived by her sons
and daughters-in-law, Jonathan Segal
and Denise Perme, and Jeremy and
Janet Segal; daughters and son-in-law,
Deborah and Larry Fine, and Rebecca
Segal; grandchildren, Ariel Segal, Elan
Hichenberg, Shira and Noah Hichenberg,
Kerren Segal, Rabbi Jacob and Julie Fine,
Rabbi Aaron and Emily Fine, Jacob Aliza
and David Segal; great-grandchildren,
Meira, Nessa and Emet Fine. She is also
survived by Ann Hichenberg and many
loving nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
Interment was at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may be

MILTON SIEGEL, 84, of West
Bloomfield, died Aug. 24, 2012. _
He is survived by his brother and

sister-in-law, Dr. Sheldon and Heather
Siegel of West Bloomfield; nieces and
nephews, Andrew J. and Kim Siegel, Lisa
E. Siegel and Adam Green.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's choice.

JERRY WALD, 93, of Farmington Hills,
died Aug. 27, 2012.
He is survived by his beloved wife,
Irma Wald; sons and daughters-in-law,
Joseph and Cheryl Wald of Okemos,
Richard and Lisa Wald of Farmington
Hills; daughters and son-in-law, Margo
Rubens of West Bloomfield, Debbie
and Eric Canvasser of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, David Wald,
Stephen Wald, Ryan Rubens, Michael
Rubens, Veronica Rubens, Jason (Anne)
Canvasser, Daniel (Lindsey) Canvasser,
Jeffrey Canvasser, Seth Wald, Stephanie
Wald, Nikki Wald. He is also survived by
many loving nieces, nephews, other fam-
ily members, friends and devoted care-
giver Lilly Davis.
Jerry was the brother of the late

Florence Rosenstein and the late Clara
Shwartz.
Contributions may be made to Hospice
of Michigan or to the Multiple Sclerosis
Society or to a charity of one's choice.
Interment took place at the Machpelah
Cemetery in Ferndale. Arrangements by

SAM ZIEMAN, 94, of
West Bloomfield, died
Aug. 26, 2012.
Mr. Zieman was
drafted during World
War II into the Navy.
While he attended basic
training, the govern-

ment recalled him from
duty in order to com-
plete his position as a tool and die expert,
assisting in straightening out the gun tur-
rets on war ships.
He worked from the age of 9 till just
a week ago, age 94, was featured in the
Oakland Press for still working in his 90s,
and he was also featured in American
House advertisements. He worked for
Skolnick Frames and began with three
accounts and retired from that job with

Life Center, funded by the Ira Kaufman Chapel, presents the
15th Annual Kever Avot. This very special program provides
an opportunity for older adults in the community to visit the
gravesides of their loved ones. This program serves the
residents of assisted living facilities and apartments.

Spend Sunday September 9th remembering your loved ones.

Each participant will be accompanied by a volunteer on a
one-to-one basis for the morning.

He worked for Costco for the last nine
years as the "Sample Man "and was even
given the title of Employee of the Month.
An active Mason and Shriner, he volun-
teered with the circus and gave his time
to the Veterans Administration Hospital.
A lifetime member of B'nai B'rith, he was
also a 50-year member of AAA.
Mr. Zieman is survived by his daughter
and son-in-law, Roslyn and Allen Feld of
West Bloomfield; grandchildren, Jason
and Franci Feld, Rochelle and David
Silverman; great-grandchildren, Hannah
Feld, Ben Feld, Shlomo Feld and Danielle
Silverman. He is also survived by his
devoted and committed friends, Ken and
Denise Delegol.
Mr. Zieman was the beloved husband
for 65 years of the late Reva Zieman;
cherished brother of the late Phil Zieman.
Interment was at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to Bais Chabad Torah
Center, 5595 W. Maple Road, West
Bloomfield, MI 48322; or Masons
Perfection Lodge #530, 500 Temple St.,
