Ask the Orthodontist Dahvi Foster Lupovitch will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Congregation Beth Ahm in West Bloomfield. She is the daughter of Howie Lupovitch Lupovitch and Marni Foster, sister of Hanna, and granddaughter of Joy Foster, the late Barry Foster, and Rochelle and Aaron Lupovitch. Dahvi is a student at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. Her mitzvah project has focused on helping to provide food to those in need, including Meals on Wheels, J-Serve and, with the Beth Ahm Mitzvah Kids, the Ronald McDonald House. Aliya Paige Rockind (Yisraela Atalya) of Bloomfield Hills will become a bat mitzvah at the Community House in Birmingham on Friday, Aug. 31. Rockind Participating in the ceremony will be Karen and Neil Rockind and broth- ers, Harley and Jaden Rockind. Proud grandparents are Gladys and Larry Rockind of West Bloomfield, and Phyllis Bove of Allen Park. Aliya is a student at Derby Middle School in Birmingham. Her mitzvah projects include assisting the elderly.
