the property sold when the market
becomes better. The timeline that Ms.
Zurvalec, FPS superintendent, pres-
ents conveniently left out that event
along with others in her letter to FPS
parents.
"Those who oppose it [Eagle
School sale] may want to punish the
school board for its seemingly secre-
tive actions, but to what avail?" And
"Bottom line, what is the goal of those
who are organizing these protests?"
The school board's actions were
secretive, not "seemingly secretive' The
goal of those who oppose it is to uphold
the law and the rights of the citizens
that have flagrantly been abused by the
Farmington Board of Education. I sug-
gest critics do their homework.
I thank and congratulate the
Thomas More Law Center for their
thorough, pro bono professional advo-
cacy and the CARE4EAGLE citizens
who are financially and personally
standing tall for all of us.

• In "Estate Sale Mania" (Aug. 23, page

Shapiro's estate sale company was
incorrect. It is G & J, LLC. Their sales

Adat Shalom Teacher
Wins Praise Of Parent
I recently learned that Rachel Levine,
a teacher at Adat Shalom Synagogue's
Early Childhood Center in Farmington
Hills, won a Grinspoon-Steinhardt
Award for Excellence in Jewish
Education. If there is an award to be
given out for excellence in teaching,
Rachel deserves it.
When my husband and I dropped
our daughter off for her first day of
class with Rachel, I remember walk-
ing out of the classroom thinking to
myself that if I had to choose one job
that I really and truly wouldn't want,
it would be the job of trying to teach a
bunch of 4-year-old kids.
But Rachel can do it. She teaches,
and the kids learn.
Through Rachel Levine and Shelly
Fine and everyone else who works
and teaches at Adat Shalom ECC, my
daughter brought home a reminder
about how important it is to carry on
Jewish traditions and how much fun
it is to be Jewish. Quite frankly, I don't
understand how someone wouldn't
want to be Jewish.
And if they don't understand how
I can feel that way, they just need to
spend a day in Rachel Levine's class.
