Senior Dream Cruise
Local Greetings
Cars of yesteryear delight JSL
residents in West Bloomfield.
Yad Ezra picks holiday card artists.
T
he Jewish Senior Life Senior
Dream Cruise on Aug. 15
brought more than 50 clas-
sic cars to the residents of the West
Bloomfield JSL campus, parading
in front of the Meer, Hechtman and
Fleischman residences. With live
music, ice cream, snacks and beverag-
es and hundreds of community mem-
bers of all ages, one resident remarked,
"Thank you for bringing the outside
world to us."
This was the event's fifth year, initi-
ated by Janet Antin, administrator
for JStis Margot and Warren Coville
Asissted Living Apartments in Oak
Park. Event sponsors included Mufflers
and More and Say-On Drugs. E]
y
ad Ezra sponsored its annual
Greeting Card Contest for
children ages 4-15. Judges
Elizabeth Kannon of Ferndale, Michal
Shlom of Berkley and Norm Levy of
Oak Park chose the winning entries in
the different age categories.
Winners are Eli Haddad, 6, and Shira
Schon, 9, both of West Bloomfield, and
Amanda Goldfaden, 12, and Joshua
•
Goldfaden, 14, both of Southfield.
The cards will be reprinted and
available for purchase in assorted
packages of 12 cards for $50. The col-
orful designs depict various symbols
of the holiday. Orders must be received
by Sept. 14. To order, contact C.J. or
Lea at Yad Ezra at (248) 548-3663
