JOANNE FINCK,
80, of Highland,
Mich., died July
31, 2012.
She just moved
back to Michigan
after retiring and
living in Hilton
Head Island, S.
C., and Savannah,
Ga., for the past 20 plus years,
searching for her inner "'Southern
Belle." She was a master docent for
the Telfair Museum in Savannah.
Mrs. Finck received her bach-
elor's and master's degrees from the
University of Michigan and worked
as an audiologist. She was a mem-
ber of Prestwick Village Golf Club.
She loved to ice skate, cook, read
and travel. She also loved history -
and a great Broadway show.
Mrs. Finck is survived by her
husband and best friend for 57
years, Dr. Jerome Finck; son and
daughter-in-law, Howard D. and
Karen Finck of Highland; grand-
children, Alexander and Addison
Finck; sister-in-law and brother-
in-law, Millicent and Dr. Gerald
Grossman.
Interment was at Beth El
Memorial Park. Contributions may

SYLVIA FOX, .86, of Oak Park, died
Aug. 4, 2012.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Martin and Susan
Fox of Indian Trail, N.C.; daughters,
Elyse Fox of Oak Park and Denise
Fox of Farmington Hills; brother
and sister-in-law, Herman and Edith
Fershtman of West Bloomfield; sister
and brother-in-law, Rita and Sidney
Barish of West Bloomfield; grand-
children, David and Jason Fox; many
loving nieces, nephews, other family
members and friends.
Mrs. Fox was the beloved wife
of the late Edwin Fox; the mother-
in-law of the late Richard Golder;
sister of the late Sidney Fershtman
and the late Norman Fershtman.

Interment took place at the Hebrew
Memorial Park Cemetery in Clinton
