Looking back, I don't regret anything about the experience. Not many people can say they produced a book in college, and I learned more than I ever wanted to know about Michigan football. But more importantly, I gained three lifelong friends. Only they have shared the frustration of leafing through musty 19th- century pages in an attempt to find one headline and know what it's like to spend hours staring at Bo Schembechler's screaming face. The 26-year-old chef just opened his first restaurant — Social Bar and Kitchen on Maple in downtown Birmingham. So far, so good. "We've been open just a couple of weeks, and we have a more than a 21/2-hour wait every day. It's unbelievable," he says. The new restaurant is the second step in his burgeoning career. Athletics to host the First Annual Nick Fairley Community Kickball Tournament. Each team had 12-15 kids, and one player from the Detroit Lions. Players included Cliff Avril, Ricardo Silva, Sammie Hill and the event host, Nick Fairley. This was a great event for the community, and we look forward to working with H.Y.P.E. and Nick Fairley again soon!
