Rosman Golf Outing

n a picture-perfect day at Tam-

Over the last three years, the Ryan
Scott Rosman Memorial MSU Hillel Golf
Outing at Tam has raised $260,000 for the
Ryan Rosman Leadership Fund at MSU.
Ryan, youngest of three children, died
in 2009 at age 19. Golf was a passion.
The Rosman fund was created in 2010
in memory of Ryan, a Hillel student lead-
er and AEPi fraternity member. MSU has
3,500 Jewish students.
Outing chairs were Rosman's parents,

Marla and David, as well as David Sacks,
all of West Bloomfield. Larry Miller of
Bloomfield Hills served as emcee.
Law student David Zemon of
Bloomfield Hills received the first Ryan
Rosman Angel Award, given to a MSU
student who embodies Ryan's traits of
being a giver, hard working and academi-
cally strong and having an entrepreneur-
ial spirit. The award carries a $5,000
scholarship.

"Day or night:' Marla Rosman told the
gathering, "Ryan was always happy to
lend a helping hand to his friends and
family. Whether late-night drives across
campus to fix his sister's computer, or
looking over his fraternity's lease agree-
ment, Ryan wouldn't hesitate to throw in
his hat to help. He looked after all of us
then and I hope he does now
"For years, I called him my angel. And
now he really is:'
