Israel Bonds' Maimonides Dinner
Israel Bonds Professional Health Services Division Maimonides Tribute
Dinner "From Generation to Generation" was held on May 16 at the Jewish
Community Center in West Bloomfield.
Distinguished honorees, who have all excelled in their profession and in
dedication to serving their community, were Dr. Eli Brown and his sons Dr.
0. William Brown and Dr. Morris Brown, along with Dr. Julian Kutinsky and
his daughter Dr. Ilana Kutinsky-Brager. More than $1 million dollars in new
investment capital was raised.

Dancing With Elmo
Congregation Beth Shalom's Gan
Shalom Preschool hosted a dance party
May 15 featuring Elmo as its special
celebrity dancer. Member Jason Ellis
volunteered to serve as the Sesame
Street character.
More than 100 preschool-age fans
and their parents came to the Oak Park
synagogue for a chance to dance and
have pictures taken with their favorite
Muppet. Star Trax Event Productions
provided the dancers who helped get
everyone moving.

Novi Expo Center
Is Being Demolished

Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301

Demolishment began June 11 on
a Novi landmark, making way for
significant new development in the
area. The Novi Expo Center, seen
by travelers on 1-96, was built in
1966 and the original home of Adell
Industries, where Jewish owner
Frank Adell invented, developed and
built automotive door guards that
are still in use today by the Big 3.
The building has been vacant for the
last seven years.
The building, owned by Kevin
Adell, will be leveled over the next
several weeks. Within the next few
months, Adell will announce plans
for the future use of the land.
