ing specialist,
Mrs. Sinkoff was a
teacher in Detroit

for many years. A
member of I.R.P.,
she was also the photographer at
Meer Apartments and a member of
Dor L'Dor.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Steven and Teri
Sinkoff of West Bloomfield, Dr. Mark
Sinkoff and Dr. Ruth Lerman of West
Bloomfield; daughter, Michal Tamuz
of Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandchildren,
Rebecca Sinkoff, Hilary Sinkoff, Dov
Lerman-Sinkoff, Sarah Lerman-
Sinkoff; other loving family members.
Mrs. Sinkoff was the beloved wife
for 54 years of the late Saul Sinkoff;
dear sister of the late Herzl Shur, the
late Nathan Shur, the late Sadie Goren,
the late Ronnie Cohen and the late
Saul Shur; loving grandmother of the
late Aryeh Chaim Lerman-Sinkoff.

MARCELLA STEIN, 76, of

Southfield, died May 29, 2012.
Mrs. Stein was a graduate of Central
High, class of 1953. Later she attended
MSU and earned a bachelor's and
a master's in ethnic studies. After
moving to Southfield, she was execu-
tive secretary of the Metro Detroit
Optometric Society and she later
served as Democratic co-chair of the
Women's Political Caucus. During
these years, she also supported many
women's rights organizations.
She is survived by her beloved hus-
band, Dr. Edward E Stein of Southfield;
son, Jonathan Michael Ackerman;
daughter and son-in-law, Allison and
David McClosky; Eddie's children,
Elise Stein, Rita and Tom Precious, and
Jenny and Scott Thompson; grand-
children, Carley and Alex Bellemore,
Zach and Ariel Precious, Joseph and
Eli Stein. She is also remembered by
the father of her children, Bernard
Ackerman and his wife, Pam.

Dorothy & Peter Brown Adult Day
