his soulmate, Peter Ong. The last 19-odd
years with Peter were the happiest years
of his life, and his leave-taking now comes
much too soon: His absence is felt to a
degree too deep for words.
Mr. Lipshaw's love was unconditional;
he was a mentsh with a big heart and an
infectious, vivacious spirit that enveloped
one in a palpable way. This spirit of his
abides; his voice resonates still and his
laughter resounds; his unforgettable smile
and his warmth remain in the memory
and in the heart.
He is survived by his beloved soulmate,
Peter Ong. He was predeceased by his
sweet and beautiful daughter, Pamela Joy,
whom he especially loved. He was also
the father of Jeffrey Lipshaw of Boston,
Michael Lipshaw of Roseville, and Leslie
Hawring of Huntington Woods. He was
the grandfather of Arielle, Matthew and
James Lipshaw, and Stephen and Scott
Hawring.
A service is pending at the Sha'arei
Shalom section of Mt. Tamalpais
Cemetery in San Rafael.

JERRY NOVETSKY, 60, of Southfield,
died May 20, 2012.
He is survived by his brother and sister-
in-law, Dr. Marvin and Dr. Pamela Novetsky

of Ann Arbor; sisters and brothers-in-law,
Shirley and Dr. Marshall Keys of Potomac,
Md., Marilyn Applebaum and Ron Thomas
of Glencoe, Ill., Diane Novetsky and Art
Guerci-Lena of Somerville, Mass.; loving
aunts, uncle, many nieces, nephews and
cousins; dear friend John Wisniewski; and
other close friends.
Mr. Novetsky was the loving son of
the late Sam Novetsky and the late Gail
Novetsky.

Insurance.
