Max and Noa are students at O.E.
Dunckel Middle School in Farmington
Hills. They performed several mitzvah
projects, but both felt collecting funds
and donating to the Arthritis Foundation
was the most meaningful.

mitzvah on Saturday,

Shalom in Oak Park.
She is the daughter of

Beth and Dave Contorer

Danielle is a seventh-grade student

worked weekly in the infant room at the

Noah attends Detroit Country
Day School in Beverly Hills. Among
the many mitzvah projects he per-
formed, he felt that volunteering his
voice at the opening of the new Mott's
Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor was
his most meaningful experience.

donating funds and volunteering for
many events for Kids Kicking Cancer.

Solomon
Julia Shade
Solomon became a
bat mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct. 22, at
Temple Ohav Shalom
in Allison Park, Pa.
The simchah was
enjoyed by her
younger brother Benjamin; parents,
Ginger and Dr. Edward Solomon of
Gibsonia, Pa.; as well as her grandpar-
ents Kathy and Dr. Victor S. Drescher
of Kittanning, Pa. Kvelling was Bubbie
Lorraine Solomon of West Bloomfield.
Julia is also the granddaughter of the
late William Solomon.
An accomplished cellist, Julia col-
laborated with another bat mitzvah, a
violinist, on a musical mitzvah project,
performing a lovely program of holi-
day music for patients and residents at
numerous Pittsburgh-area hospitals,
patient family-houses and a nursing
home.

ing with children at West Bloomfield-
based Friendship Circle as well as
donating funds to this organization.
Erika Lynn Yellen,

Jeffrey Yellen, will be
called to the Torah as
a bat mitzvah on
Friday, May 18, at
Temple Israel in
Yellen
West Bloomfield. She
is the sister of Lauren,
Steven and Daniel. Sharing in the sim-
chah will be her proud grandmother
Lenore Yellen. She is also the grand-
child of the late Seymour Yellen, the
late Marianne Pierce and the late John
Pierce.
Erika attends O.E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project was vol-
unteering at Friendship Circle in West
Bloomfield, helping children with spe-
cial needs.
