ELIZABETH KARBAL LITT, 91, of Palm
Harbor, Fla., and Bloomfield Hills, died
April 6, 2012, in Palm Harbor.
She was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Belarus,
the daughter of Samuel Karbal and Anna
Brodsker Karbal.
Mrs. Litt is survived by her brother,
Albert (Judith) Karbal; children, Robert
(Jerri Salmon) Litt, Cynthia (Mark)
Barnett, Adrienne Litt Bishko; grand-
children, Elaine (Jafar) Rubaii, Jeremy
(Jennifer Kozel) Litt, Sarah (Drew)
Durlacher, Jack (Nicole Killian) Bishko,
Emily (Mark) Radel; great-grandchildren,
Aaron Rubaii, Eli Litt, Mila Durlacher,
Maxwell Bishko, Mallory Bishko, Matan
Radel and Devir Radel.
She was the wife of the late William
Litt.
Services were held in Clearwater,

HOWARD M. (CHAIM) MITCHELL, 76,
of Oak Park, died May 3, 2012.
He is survived by his brother and
sister-in-law, Gerald and Peggy Mitchell of
Southfield; loving cousins and stepbrothers.

Mrs. Ross was the daughter of the late
David and the late Lucille Shiffman; sister-
in-law of the late Lorraine Reubin.

Siegal

Ariz., in 1974.
Mrs. Siegal was politically active and
remained a lifelong Democrat, debat-
ing social issues well into her 80s. An
avid reader with an inquisitive mind, she
retained a positive attitude and interest in
the world throughout her entire life. She
will be missed.
Mrs. Siegal is survived by her daugh-
ter, Marcia Franklin; grandchildren,
Lauren Franklin (Aaron Rosenbloom),
Daniel Franklin, and Dylan Siegal (Sue);
great-grandchildren, Sydney and Aidan
Siegal.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Paul; mother of the late Kenneth.
