B'nai Mitzvah from page 51

Ezra Kalmowitz
was called to the
Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
April 28, at Temple
Beth El in
Bloomfield Hills. He
is the son of Anne
Kalmowitz
Adelson, and Rachel
and Carey
Kalmowitz and the brother of Eitan
and Ilana Kalmowitz. Proud grand-
parents are Elaine and Sheldon
Adelson, and Mel Kalmowitz.
Delighted great-grandmother is Bea
Cohan.
Ezra is a seventh-grader at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills. His mitzvah project was
working at Yad Ezra food pantry
in Berkley. He found assembling
holiday food bags to be especially
meaningful.

Joshua Eric Kraft
will lead the con-
gregation in prayer
as he celebrates his
bar mitzvah, Friday,
May 11, at Temple
Israel in West
Bloomfield. He is

Steve Kraft and the
brother of Jared and Ian. Sharing in

in Mutt March for the Michigan
Humane Society was one of the
mitzvah projects most meaningful
to him.

Fill. She is also the grandchild of the
late Craina Knoll.
Sydney is in the seventh grade at
Norup International School in Oak
Park. Her favorite mitzvah project
was creating and organizing, with
her cousin Jonah, Musical Menches.

Farmington Hills on
Saturday, May 12.

Robert and Lauri Levine, and his
brother Ricky Levine. Proud grandpar-
ents are Dr. Stanley and Marilyn
Levine, and Dave and Barbara Moran.
He is also the grandson of the late
Rhoda Moran.
Cole is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield. His
mitzvah project assisting the residents
at Fleischman Residence in West
Bloomfield was very meaningful.

as a b'nai mitzvah on Saturday, May
12, at the Old Town Synagogue in San
Diego, Calif. They are the children of
Dr. Ellyn Blumenthal Levine, formerly
of Southfield and now residing in San
Diego. The proud grandparents are Dr.
and Mrs. Aron Blumenthal of Southfield.
Rob and Alyssa are eighth-graders
at Carmel Valley Middle School in San
Diego. Their mitzvah project is col-
lecting items to help a new refugee
family settle in America through the
assistance of Jewish Family Services

is the grandchild of
Rozzie and Leon Klein, and Sherri and
Edward Lumberg.
Jared is a student at O.E. Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills. He
participated in the Mutt March, walking
to raise funds for the Michigan Humane
Society; this was a significant project to
him and very meaningful to his own life.
