Parkinson's Walk-A-Thon
And 5K Runs Scheduled
The Michigan Parkinson Foundation
will be holding the 10th annual
Walk-A-Thon and 5K Runs for
Parkinson's disease on Sunday, May
20, at Northville High School as well
as Saturday, May 19, at South Lake
School in St. Clair Shores.
This event not only raises funds but
also promotes awareness about the
disease and celebrates those who are
affected.
Further information can be
obtained from the foundation, (800)
852-9781.

Here are the rules.
First, only the IRS
can reach your Social
Security for unpaid
taxes. Other than
that, a creditor cannot attach
your social security. But there
are precautions you need to
take. First, if you comingle
your social security funds with
other funds, then a creditor
who has a judgment against
you can take action to seize
the funds in the account
and then we have to fight to
get them back. Secondly, if
a creditor is suing you for
non-payment you should not
ignore the suit. You need to
meet with an attorney who
can assist in solving your
financial issues.
