As Clarence Dass was nearing graduation
from high school in Orchard Lake, Mich.,
this forensics state champion had his pick of
schools.

George Ziegelmueller, Wayne State's director
of forensics, told Clarence that if he came to
WSU, not only would he get an outstanding
education, he'd also experience the real world
— and help other people, too.

Clarence went on to become an Honors
student at Wayne State, excel at extracurricular
activities and community service, graduate
magna cure laude and go on to law school.
He is now an attorney in Detroit at the firm of
Gurewitz & Raben, PLC.

Clarence makes a point to assist the Chaldean
community, staying involved with the
Chaldean American Bar Association and the
Chaldean American Chamber of Commerce.

Wayne State University offers the advantages
of learning in a research environment to more
first-generation, minority and nontraditional
students than any institution in Michigan. At
Wayne State, the first discovery you make may
be your own potential.
