Stereotypes have been shattered, friendships formed, busi- ness collaborations spawned, meals shared and achievements celebrated. The Chaldean and Jewish com- munities are about to engage in what promises to be the Building Community Initiative's most ambitious and rewarding collabo- ration ... a visit to Israel and the Holy Land. Two dynamic and experienced Jeannie Weiner community lead- ers, Jeannie Weiner and Florence Atto, have agreed to co-chair this visit, which is tentatively set for April 2013. Weiner is a past president of the JCRC, accomplished author and most recently served as co-chair of the Building Community Initiative Social Action Workgroup. Atto has worked for the Bloomfield Hills School District for more than 22 years and is currently its community rela- tions coordinator. She is also an active Florence Atto volunteer with the Chaldean Community Foundation and the Chaldean Amer- ican Ladies of Charity.
