brates his bar mitz-
vah Saturday, April
28, at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield.
He is the brother of Mitchell and the
grandchild of Joan and Sherman
Char, Linda and Sidney Blackman,
and the late Karen Blackman.
Matthew is a student at Geisler
Middle School in Commerce
Township. Among the many mitzvah
projects he performed, he felt helping
with inclusion sports at Friendship
Circle in West Bloomfield was the
most meaningful.

She is the daughter of Lorie Savin
and Adam Larky and the sister of
Abigail. Sharing in the simchah will
be her grandparents Barbara and
Sheldon Larky, Fran Savin, Keith
Savin and Jeff Lutz, and very excited
great-grandparents Gail and Sheldon
Lutz.
Elizabeth attends Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
She felt donating funds for the pur-
chase of books to Mandy's Place was
a very meaningful mitzvah project.

his brothers Daniel and Joshua. Ben's
proud grandparents are Barbara and
Maurice Katzman, and Sharon and
James Fernquist.
Ben attends 0. E. Dunckel Middle
School in Farmington Hills. His mitz-
vah projects included building picnic
tables and bat houses for the Oakland
County Parks system.

Saturday, April 21, at
Temple Emanuel in
Grand Rapids. He is
the son of Julie and
Gendler
Sam Gendler and
the brother of Zoey.
Proud grandparents are Barbara and
Larry Haber, and Phyllis and Harvey
Gendler.
Justin is a student at Northern Hills
Middle School in Grand Rapids. His
mitzvah project is providing food
for the Kids' Food Basket of Grand
Rapids.

Zoe Lynn Lefkowitz (Alana) and
Jack Evan Lefkowitz (Yakov) will be
called to the Torah as b'nai mitzvah
on Saturday, April 28, at Minchah and
Havdalah services at Congregation
Beth Shalom in Oak Park. They are
the children of Marcy Zussman and
Jay Lefkowitz and sister and brother
of Ian Lefkowitz. Proud grandparents
are Ruth and Julian Lefkowitz, and
Lois and Milt Zussman.
Zoe and Jack attend Norup
International School in Oak Park.
They have participated in several
acts of loving-kindness by helping
at Congregation Beth Shalom events
such as school dinners, holiday
meals, Purim Carnival and helping in
the school office.

mitzvah at Adat
Shalom Synagogue
in Farmington Hills
Miller
on April 28.
Participating in the
ceremony will be his parents,
Lawrence and Jessica Miller, and his
brother Abraham. Proud grandpar-
ents are Dr. Ronald and Laura Miller
of Scottsdale, Ariz., Marilyn and Dr.
Harvey Saperstein of West
Bloomfield, and Marilyn Shapiro of
Bloomfield Hills.
Isaac is a student at Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
His mitzvah project, completed
through J-Serve, included sorting
food at Gleaners Food Bank in
Pontiac.
