Mrs. Sage is survived by her
son, Barry Rankin; daughter-in-
law, Carol Rankin; grandchildren,
Howard (Jodi) Rankin, Steven
(Jessica) Rankin, David (Cameo)
Rankin; great-grandchildren,
Zachary, Ally, Joey, Kacy, Kobi, Quin
and Capri; sister-in-law, Evelyn
Gray; great-niece, Elinor Haller;
special caregivers, Bobbie, Paritee
and Barbara MacMillan. Many other
loving family members and friends
also survive her.
Mrs. Sage was the beloved wife
of the late Joseph Sage and the late
Harry Rankin; sister of the late Alex
(the late Rae) Goldberg, the late
Herman Gray, the late Anna (the
late Joseph) Weinstein, the late Abe
Goldberg.
Contributions may be made
to Temple Israel, Gleaners Food
Bank or to a charity of one's
choice. Interment took place at
Hebrew Memorial Park Cemetery in
Mount Clemens. Arrangements by

WILLIAM SCHWARTZ, 102,
of Southfield, died April 20, 2012.
An Army veteran of World War
II, he retired as a first lieutenant,
obtained a law degree and eventually
became a residential builder and a
member of Congregation Shomrey
Emunah.
He is survived by his loving wife
of 69 years, Pauline Schwartz of
Southfield; sons and daughters-
in-law, Dr. Matthew and Nechama
Schwartz of Southfield, Tom and
Rachel Schwartz of Southfield;
grandchildren, Margalit and Yitzchok
Gottlieb and Abigail, Asher Aryeh,
Joseph, Aryeh, Benjamin, Aron Tzvi
and Esther Malka Schwartz; great-
grandchildren, Vered, Yaffa and
David Yissocher Dov Gottlieb; sister,
Rachel Kellman; brother and sisters-
in-law, Michael and Janice Schwartz,
May Schwartz and Mildred Schwartz.
Mr. Schwartz was the cherished
brother of the late Julius Schwartz
and the late David Schwartz.
