Support Yad Ezra
In Hunger Walk
Since 2003, Yad Ezra, along with the
Baldwin Center, St. Alexander's Food
Cupboard and the Salvation Army, have
joined forces to educate the community
about global hunger by participating in
a CROP (Communities Responding to
Overcome Poverty) Hunger Walk, sched-
uled for Sunday, May 6, in downtown
Farmington.
It begins at the First United Methodist
Church, 33112 Grand River, with regis-

'Art Of Marriage' Course
Looks At Jewish Tradition
A new series of classes on the secrets of
successful marriage begins the week of
April 29.
All are invited to
attend the six-session
course, presented
by the Tugman Bais
Chabad Torah Center
in West Bloomfield in
partnership with the
Federation's Alliance
for Jewish Education. It
Rabbi Shneur
will
be taught by Rabbi
Silberberg
Shneur Silberberg of
the Torah Center. The
course is produced by the Chabad Rohr
JLI (Jewish Learning Institute).
Classes will be offered twice weekly, 11
a.m. Sundays beginning April 29 at Bais
Chabad, and 7 p.m. Thursdays beginning
May 3 at the Max M. Fisher Federation
Building in Bloomfield Township.
Each class covers an independent, com-
plete topic and will run approximately
one-and-a half-hours.
"The Art of Marriage" covers topics
such as how far one should go to make a
marriage work and when divorce is the
best option. Included are Jewish bedroom
secrets from ancient texts on how to
increase intimacy in marital relationships.
"A happy marriage is a major prior-
ity in Judaism and, therefore, the Torah
and Kabbalah has a long history of look-

tration at 1 p.m. The 10K and 3K walks
start at 1:30. Walkers are asked to get
sponsorships.
This year, Melissa Strome, daughter
of Karee and Michael Strome of West
Bloomfield, is participating in the walk
with her family in honor of her bat
mitzvah at Temple Kol Ami in West
Bloomfield.
