grandson of the late Judith Kaplan and
the late Betty Kaplan.
Jordon is a student at Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
One of his mitzvah projects was volun-

Leonard Rosenberg.
Jacob is a sixth-grader at Norup
International School in Oak Park. He
felt helping 5-year-olds learn to play
soccer was a meaningful volunteer
mitzvah experience.

Samantha felt, among their wide vari-
ety of mitzvah projects, volunteering
to work with children at Friendship
Circle in West Bloomfield was the most
meaningful project.

indy and Michael Gersten of West
Bloomfield are excited to announce
the engagement of their son Jordan
Gersten to Rebecca Baum, daughter of
Arleen Siegel of Memphis, Tenn., and Larry
Baum of Chicago, Ill.
Jordan graduated with a degree in sup-
ply chain management from Michigan State
University and also earned a master's of arts
and teaching degree at Mercer University in
Atlanta, Ga.
Rebecca graduated from Michigan State
University with a degree in elementary edu-
cation and earned her master's of education
in reading from Mercer University.
Jordan and Becca met at Michigan State through close friends. They reside in
Atlanta; both are teaching elementary school.
A May wedding is planned.
