thrilled to announce the marriage
of her son Andrew Sloman Marx to
Abagayle Rae Miller, daughter of Laura and
Dr. Charles E. Miller of Bannockburn, Ill.
Andrew is also the son of the late Frederick
H. Marx.
The wedding took place on the grounds
of the Miller home in Bannockburn. Rabbi
Evan Moffic performed the ceremony.
Andrew is the grandson of Eleanor
Sloman of Southfield and the late Robert
Sloman; Florence Zox of Columbus, Ohio,
and the late Dr. Maurice Zox. Abbye is the
granddaughter of Esther Finne and the late Fredric Finne; Muriel Miller and the
late Dr. Alfred Miller, all of Chicago.
Rebecca Shapiro was maid of honor. The bridal party had 11 other brides-
maids, including Andrew's sisters Julie and Carolyn Marx. Brian Blondy and
Evan Linker were the best men. The 10 other groomsmen included Andrew's
brother Scott Marx and Abbye's brothers Ben and Alec Miller.
Following a honeymoon in Athens, Mykonos and Santorini, Greece, the couple
reside in Chicago.

arry and Nancy Bechek Bluth of
Bloomfield Hills, and Edward and
Paula Schonberg of Birmingham are
delighted to announce the engagement of
their son David Schonberg to Laura Ostrov,
the daughter of Dr. Steve and Jo Ostrov of
Tallahassee, Fla.
David, a graduate of the University
of Michigan School of Engineering, is
the residential engineering manager for
SolarCity, a national leader in clean energy
services in San Mateo, Calif. Laura, a gradu-
ate of Florida State University, is a nation-
ally certified massage therapist, practicing in
San Francisco.
David and Laura will be married April 14 in Tallahassee, Fla. Following a hon-
eymoon in Tulum, Mexico, the couple will return to San Francisco.

leanor Lehman Sloman of
Southfield celebrated her 100th
birthday on Jan. 5. A party was
held in her honor at the Birmingham
Athletic Club and was hosted by her chil-
dren, Sally Sloman Marx of Bloomfield
Hills and Steven Sloman of New York
City. Eleanor was born on Jan. 5, 1912, in
Denver, Colo. Also in attendance to cel-
ebrate the milestone occasion were her
grandchildren, Julie Marx and Scott Marx of
Bloomfield Hills, Andrew and Abbye Marx
and Carolyn Marx of Chicago. She was also
surrounded by many relatives and friends.
Mrs. Sloman was married for 60 years to the late Robert Sloman, a patent attor-
ney and fourth-generation Detroiter.
