due."
While acknowledging that foreign
policy will not play an important role
in his job as a state representative,
Wolkinson maintained, "On no issue
do I disagree more passionately
with the president than I do on his
approach to Iran.
"We are a rich and powerful coun-
try; we are a continental power and
we can survive a nuclear Iran. Israel
cannot. It is time for the president to
state unequivocally that if the Iranian
government does not abandon its
plans for developing nudear weapons
they should be prepared to face the full
force of the U.S. military'
Michigan All The Way
A Michigan native, Wolkinson
attended Akiva Hebrew Day School in
Southfield, received both undergrad-
uate and master's degrees in econom-
ics from the University of Michigan
and graduated from U-M Law School
in 2005. He has been practicing law
since 2006 and is an active member
of several community organizations
and a strong advocate for Oakland
County. In 2010, Wolkinson served as
Gov. Rick Snyder's policy director for
his gubernatorial campaign.

the energy and experience to get
things accomplished now:' said
Sarah Ledford, youth chair of the
Michigan Republican Party. "Oakland
County has been a bright star in
Michigan because [people there]
have embraced new visions and bold
leadership in the past, and now is
the time to do that again, and David
Wolkinson is the man to do it."
Joe Green, vice president for the
Greater West Bloomfield Republicans,
said he's confident Wolkinson will
make them proud in Lansing.
"David Wolkinson is a principled
conservative who is pragmatic
enough to bring real results to the
citizens of Oakland County," he said.
Wolkinson said, "In 1950, Detroit
was the richest metropolitan area in
America, now our Metro region is
well below the national average. That
is simply unacceptable.
"I am an optimist. When I look
around at our state and its situation,
I have no doubt that we are corn-
ing back. Metro Detroit is in a much
better place than it was three to five
years ago.
"In Michigan, we don't back down
from a fight, and if you knock us
down, we get right back up. Winners
don't quit at half time and neither do
Michiganders."
