BETTIE ALPERT, 88, of Los Angeles, died
March 17, 2012.
She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Susan and Robert Rossinove
of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dale and Jerrold
Rubin of Brasilia, Brazil; son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Michael and Vivienne Alpert
of Encino, Calif.; grandchildren, Nicole
and Adam DeKavallas, Ryan and Marina
Lenter, and Brandon and Ariella Rubin;
great-grandchildren, Blake, Ivy, Kaleb,
Yosef, Bina and Ezra.
Mrs. Alpert was the beloved wife of the
late Robert Alpert.
Interment was in Los Angeles, Calif.

Auslander; the devoted daughter of the
late Fanny and the late Jacob Goldberg; the
loving sister of the late Irving Goldberg,

Valensky; the dear sister-in-law of the late
Anna Goldberg, the late Paul Lowinger
and the late William "Val" Valensky.

MYLES HAROLD
DAVIDSON, 81, died
March 10, 2012, sur-
rounded by his five lov-
ing children and their
spouses.
He was born Feb. 20,
1931, in Louisville, Ky.,
Davidson
to Joseph and Gertrude
c. 1960
Davidson.
He was a graduate of Louisville
Male High School and the University
of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. Mr.
Davidson served in the Korean Conflict
in MASH Unit 8076. He was a Kentucky
Colonel as well as a member of Male
High School marching band, Keneseth
Israel Congregation, Keneseth Israel Men's
Club, Kentucky Pharmacist Association,
Jefferson County Academy of Pharmacy,
Alpha Zeta Omega-Pharmaceutical
Fraternity, National Association of Retail
Druggists, B'nai B'rith and the Goose
Creek Optimist Club. He looked forward to
his Thursday outings with his "ROMEO"
friends.
He was the proud proprietor of Myles
Drugs for 22 years. He also worked
for Louisville Apothecary, Winn Dixie
Pharmacy and Cox Pharmacy before most
recently retiring from Meijer.
Mr. Davidson is survived by his chil-
dren, Dr. Brent Davidson (Karen) of
West Bloomfield, Marc Davidson (Roz),
Dr. Sherry Milner (Dr. Michael), Karen

Borowick (Jerry), and Barbie Evans
(Howie); his grandchildren, Amanda,
Stephanie, and Adam Davidson, Samuel
Milner, Jeremy and Andrew Borowick, and
Ethan and Danielle Evans; his sister-in-
law, Sandra Davidson. He is also survived
by his second wife, Sara Davidson.
He was preceded in death by his lov-
ing wife and mother of his five children,
Elaine Goldberg Davidson, and his sib-
lings Marjorie (Avron) Chudacoff and Ivan
Davidson.
Services were held at Herman Meyer &
Son, 1338 Ellison Ave. with interment in
Keneseth Israel Cemetery. Expressions of
sympathy may be made in his honor to
Keneseth Israel Congregation or to a char-
ity of one's choice.

SAMUEL GONTE, 87, of Farmington
Hills, died March 16, 2012.
A World War II Army veteran, Mr. Gonte
was an engineer with the Aviation Airfield
Battalion and served in New Guinea,
Australia and the Philippines. He served
under Gen. MacArthur and received three
Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart.
He participated at many synagogues,
including Congregation Shaarey Zedek,
Congregation Beth Achim, Congregation
B'nai David and Congregation Beth
Shalom.
Mr. Gonte is survived by his sons and
daughters-in-law, Barry and Cynthia
Gonte of Commerce, Carl and Gail Gonte
of Southfield, Allen Gonte and Jackie
Foster of Southfield; daughters and
sons-in-law, Pamela and Daniel Miller
of Waterford, Francine and Marc Wise
of Farmington Hills; sister-in-law, Joyce
Gonte; grandchildren, Michelle and Greg
Robbins, Julie and Alex Kuzmanovski, Lori
Gonte, Corrine Gonte, Jeff, Lisa and James
Thomas, Bonnie and James Bolton, Scott
Gonte, Richelle and Warren Frankford,
