First will be Rabbi Juan Mejia, discussing "From the Andes to Jerusalem and Back: A Crypto-Jewish Rabbi's Journey" at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 18. He is a native of Colombia who, after discovering his family's Jewish roots, returned to Judaism and received ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary. He is an adjunct lecturer at Hebrew Union College and the author of books on religion, spirituality, Kabbalah and mysticism.
