D irect from Shushan, Adat Shalom Synagogue kids, teens and adults presented a rousing rendition of "Shushan Idol" on Sunday, March 4, to a cheering (and booing) crowd of young people and members of the congregation of all ages. Written and directed by Chaim Seacrest (Hazzan Daniel Gross), the lively musical competi- tion launched a day of grand Purim fun. T emple Emanu-El in Oak Park continued to celebrate its 60th anniversary year with a Purim carnival on Sunday, March 4. Children — young and old — enjoyed clowns mak- ing balloons, airbrush tattoos, great games and prizes, crafts, a huge raffle and a delicious bake sale.
