Babs Kaufman and her family have been founding pillars of the Jewish Hospice & Chaplaincy Network. In 1998, together with her husband, Herb, and her son-in-law, David Techner, our current president, Babs envisioned our mission to ensure that loving and experienced care is available to every Jew facing terminal illness. In 2002, Babs and Herb facilitated the Rose Kaufman Testamentary gift, a significant component of our endowment which helps ensure our cargiving mission for the future. While today our hearts remain so heavy with sorrow and loss, we will nonetheless be forever grateful for Herb and Babs' recent decision to create the Babs and Herb Kaufman Legacy Fund for Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network. This generous act further ensures for generations to come, no Jew in our community need ever be alone. The Executive Committee, Board, Administration, and Staff of THE JEWISH HOSPICE & CHAPLAINCY NETWORK offers heartfelt condolences to Babs's husband, Herbert, to her children, Dr. Joseph & Judy Kaufman and Ilene & David Techner, to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and to the extended Kaufman family, their loved ones and friends. Her vivacious personality will be missed by all of us. The 2f,' ,1, EWISH6SPICE & CHAPLAINCY NETWORK"' No JEW Is EVER ALONE 6555 W.
