Have a legal problem? Call your lawyer. But when you're concerned about an older adult, where do you turn? Many decisions face older adults and their families. When is it time to start getting help at home? How can I make my home safe as I age so I never have to leave it? How do I choose an assisted living community? What things should I look for as we tour? What sort of questions should we be asking? The geriatric care managers at ElderCare Solutions of Michigan, a division of Jewish Family Service, answer these questions for older adults and their families every day. As advocates for older adults, these care managers are expert at assessing and meeting the needs of older adults and their families. They provide advice about next steps, recommend support- ive services and act as eyes and ears for family members who want to help their parents have the best possible quality of life but don't really know how to make that happen. To help community members make informed decisions, ElderCare Solutions of Michigan will hold a four-part workshop series specifically designed for older adults and their families.
