ECKER'S BRID 2ect, del, i his is a letter of thanks written to you. A letter that I have a sneaking suspicion would be written by hundreds of people; not just myself. If I may, dear friend, I would be honored to share with you how lots of us are feeling. I remember the first moment we met, the moment a complete stranger cared about someone whom he didn't even know. There was captivation in your eyes and in your voice with a complete sincerity and concern for my well-being. How does one, and why does this person care so much about me? A person whom I have just become acquainted with? Isn't he some busy man with important things on his plate? Why is he so interested in me? Come to find out, it's who you are. You're the compassion that we forget we have as our lives become so hectic. You're the concern, gentleness and humility that makes us human. It's wonderful how you, Jeff, were your "brother's keeper." You knew that we are all connected. It's as if you have been asked the question, "What's wrong with the world?" And it seemed, by example, you fixed it by being what's right with the world. Thanks for always being the bigger person and teach- ing those of us who loved you to be the same. You make me want to be the best child, sibling and parent that I can be. You have taught me, through merely watching you, how to appreci- ate life and everyone around me. I miss your humor, your text messages, your phone calls, and your emails that always put a smile on my face just know- ing it was you. You have a way about you in making everyone feel as if they are the only person that matters. Having thou- sands of friends and this ability proves how beautifully large your heart is. I have learned about quality from you: quality of work, quality of thought processes, quality of how I view my surroundings. My life will never be the same since we have met. The loss of your presence here will be deeply missed. Yet, life as a whole is better somehow because I can see that most everyone you have touched has turned to gold. My life is golden just by a little bit of Zaslow rubbing off on me. You're the ripple effect. Your legacy continues Jeff, through me, and all you have met, and I want to tell you how much I adore all of the life lessons you have bestowed upon me. Thanks for impact- ing the world by being a true and humble leader. Thanks for being a great friend, leader and role model. Thanks for inviting me into your life and then showing me what life is all about. Congratulations on being an exemplary father to three beauti- ful girls who most surely will carry your torch. They are amaz- ing in strength and have very loving hearts. You and Sherry are prouder than proud, I am sure. 5- aYiewell my friend, "7- Shelley www.beckersbrid_al.com he Magic Room 1 1 iend
