Creativity Blossoms

Friendship Circle celebrates the dedication
of the Bauer Activity Wing.

F

riendship Circle celebrated the dedication of the Bauer Activi
Wing on Jan. 22 with a breakfast, inspirational program and
dedication ceremony.
Craig and Lainie Bauer and their three children, Aidan, Mac and
Arielle, were honored by Friendship Circle's directors, Rabbi Levi and
Bassie Shemtov, and a small group of close family and friends for their
generous donation that will sustain and further develop the curricu-
lum of 25 weekly and seasonal programs for individuals with special
needs.
"The Friendship Circle started with a small core of generous sup-
porters:' Levi Shemtov said. "Over the years, we have expanded the
organization with the support of thousands of people in the communi-
ty through various fundraising efforts. The Bauer family wanted their
support to continue our existing programs. It is exciting to be able to
introduce this young, very generous family into the group of founding
supporters of the Friendship Circle!'
Bassie Shemtov said, "The Bauer Activity Wing is a place where
creativity and friendship blossom for so many children with special
needs and their volunteers. You cannot walk into the Bauer Activity
Wing and not have fun!"
Lainie Bauer said, "We feel honored to be able to partner with
Friendship Circle. For our family, this was an easy decision to make.
After walking through the doors for the first time, you will see this
is a truly miraculous place. Friendship Circle has touched our family
and our lives in many ways, and we would like to ensure that our com-
munity can continue to benefit from all that Friendship Circle has to
offer."
