Volunteers For Israel
Help In A Direct Way
Regarding the passing of Volunteers for
Israel President Vade Bolton (Feb. 9, page
70), Vade was a personal friend of mine,
was a tireless advocate for Zionism and
the people of Israel. We have and will con-
tinue to miss him.
Recently, 15 people had the privilege
of serving with Volunteers for Israel:
Bill Frank, Bernard Friedman, Shelly
Friedman, Charlene Green, Sharon
Greuling, Isaak Itkis, Carol Kent, Suzanne
and Stewart Levin, Stanley Meretsky,
Richard Monash, Sally and Bernie Schiff,
Sheryl Siegel and Ron Swelstad.

Volunteers typically spend two or
three weeks living and working alongside
Israelis at an army base, Israeli Defense
Forces warehouses, hospitals or service
bases. The program offers a way to con-
tribute to the State of Israel in a very
direct way.
Local Volunteers for Israel representa-
tives are Ed Kohl and Paul Matlin. They
are available to speak to groups and
individuals. For information, call or
email Ed Kohl at (248) 420-3729,
michgan@vfi-usa.org or visit the VFI-
USA website, www.vfi-usa.org .
