SARA ALLTON (Sarah Applebaum), 62,
of Detroit, died Jan. 1, 2012.
She is survived by her son, Michael
Shackett; brother and sister-in-law,
Phillip and Elizabeth Applebaum; their
children, Adina, Yitzhak, Talya and
Shoshana Applebaum of Oak Park.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Interment was held
at Hebrew Memorial Park Cemetery
in Clinton Township. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

JESSE ANTMAN, 91,
of West Bloomfield,
died Jan. 23, 2012.
He is survived by
his daughters and
sons-in-law, Moreen
and Marshall Lett of
West Bloomfield, Sheri
Antman
and Jeffrey Weiss of
Farmington Hills; grandchildren, Adam
and Jennifer Lett, Danielle and Michael

and his fiancee, Sara Zenreich; great-
grandchildren, Kayla and Nathan Lett,
Ali, Lindsay and Olivia Randel, Jake,

Mitchell Weiss; brother and sister-in-
law, Dr. Marvin and Adrienne Antman;
sisters-in-law, Helen Antman and Claire
Schwartz.
Mr. Antman was the beloved husband
for 70 years of the late Janette Antman;
the cherished brother of the late
Bernard Antman; the devoted son of the
late Harry and the late Lena Antman.
Interment was held at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park. Contributions may be
made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute,
4100 John R, Detroit, MI 48201, www.

SALLY BIEDERMAN,
87, of West Bloomfield,
died Jan. 27, 2012.
Mrs. Biederman
came to the United
UST States in 1949 from
Poland. She was a
member of B'nai B'rith
Women and a past president of the
Einstein Chapter; she was also a mem-
ber of Hadassah.
Mrs. Biederman is survived by her
sons and daughters-in-law, Edward
Biederman and Janice Biederman of

West Bloomfield, Dr. Mark and Randi
Biederman of Maidstone, Ontario;
grandchildren, Harrison, Carson,
Larissa.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Harry Biederman; dear sister of the
late Hersh Lipschutz and the late Rena
Lipschutz.
Contributions may be made to
Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul
Wallenberg Place, S.W., Washington, D.C.
20024. Interment was held at Machpelah
Cemetery in Ferndale. Arrangements by

HERBERT BROD, of Boca Raton, Fla.,
died Jan. 25, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara
"Bobbie" Brod; daughter, Leslie Miller;
son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence
and Karyn Brod; grandchildren, Sarah
and Ilya Yeverovich, Daniel Miller,
Jacob Miller, Rachel Miller, Sidney Brod
and Benjamin Brod; great-grandson,
Benjamin Meir Yeverovich.
Mr. Brod was the loving father of the
late Dr. Craig D. Brod; the devoted son
of the late Aaron and the late Ernestine
Brod; the dear brother of the late Gloria
Barach and the late Dolores Dunn.

Interment was held at Beth El
Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to a charity of one's
choice. Arrangements by Ira Kaufman
Chapel.

ANN DEMBS, 91, of Hollywood, Fla.,
died Jan. 28, 2012.
She is survived by her beloved hus-
band, Nelson Dembs; son and daughter-
in-law, Dennis and Sandra Dembs;
daughter, Marcia Bell; brothers and
sister-in-law, Eli Friedman, Benjamin
and Annie Friedman; sister-in-law,
Helen Friedman; grandchildren, Lauren
(Randy) Lesson, Ryan (Lindsay) Dembs
and Bethani Bell; great-grandchildren,
Corey, Joshua, Jillian, Dylan, Harrison;
many loving nieces, nephews, other
family members and friends.
Mrs. Dembs was the sister-in-law of
the late Ethelene Friedman; sister of the
late Irving Friedman; mother-in-law of
the late Stephen Bell.

Beth Abraham Cemetery in Ferndale.
